Junk Food Clothing was created in 1998 by Los Angeles based designers Natalie Grof and Blaine Halvorson.
The first T Shirt was created using patterns from the game Twister, and the two partners began to experiment using various logos to create kitsch designs remarkably different to any other T Shirt designs available to buy.
Taking orders from an apartment in LA the clothing line gathered momentum in California. As the clothing line’s popularity grew, Junk Food was able to obtain more licenses’ to use in its designs: T Shirts featuring Star Wars, The Beatles, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Kiss were released as well as characters from Marvel and DC Comics. The company has most recently moved into NFL and NBA T Shirt lines..
Junk Food’s popularity has seen a variety of fashion savvy celebrities wearing the brand: Zac Efron, Sam Worthington,, Ed Westwick, Dane Cook, Ashton Kutcher, David Beckham and Tommy Lee to UK Stars Liam Gallagher, Steve Jones and JLS.
